Moved!

So I have decided that may be moving to other place might better suit the nature of what I am doing. So I will port my pictures here to devian art. My username is still MyGumMyBear. I will also post my new sketches there from now on. As for this blog, I still want to use it because I like the name of it so much. I'll decide what to do with it later. :D

Thank you for following so far!

iPao a Whole Product

Boo! I haven't been posting for a while. Crisis + lazy time. Anyway, since summer is already here. I will be posting more frequently. (Hopefully, things can go crazy during summer too.)

This picture is not really a picture per se. It is part of my Strategic Thinking Paper for a marketing class. The concept here is supposed you are a product what do you have to sell. I made this crudely at 1am in the morning so it is not refined. Anyway, I think Thinking of Yourself as a whole product is an interesting concept. Something you can sketch up in your free time to keep for reference. It doesn't have to be fancy. Just a pile chart should do. I just went crazy with this one. (Your judgement is a little off at one 0'clock in the morning.)

Oh, in case you decide to make yours too, feel free to share it here. I want to know what other people put in theirs too.

DISCLAIMER: I am not thinking that I'm great or anything but, as a whole product, you sell what you can. ;)

A Huge Elephant

I just got myself a new tablet and I was so happy that I felt like drawing sth with it for this post. I don't know why I put a girl there. At that time I just thought that I didn't want to spend a whole hour only to draw an elephant, so I draw a girl + an elephant.

I think you can tell that I got lazy halfway. (I spent one hour on it and I am regretting that now T-T.) The shading is not as I intended it to be and I was too lazy to draw the background. Not to mention that the background colors are kind of um... interesting.

Anyway, this elephant actually looks somewhat like my stuff animal but mine is a she. Her name is Moshinobo. My friend (whose name is coincidentally Moshinobo) gave her to me. The elephant Moshinobo (and it is also true for the other Moshinobo) is small, soft and huggable. I wish you guys like this imitation of Moshinobo too!

Ice Blue

I sketched this eagle during my visit to DC. I am just touching this one up a bit with the background using photoshop. It was actually a pain since my tablet is not working, so I ended up using the trackpad on my laptop instead. It sometimes pains me that sth like this exists:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823100050

Whereas, in cruel reality, I am debating between these two to replace my old one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823100045
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823100047

A non-professional with limited budget like me surely have it rough. T-T

Anyway, I am not a picky person. The outcome of trackpad is good enough for me. Hope that you enjoy it! (^___^)

A few sketches during ASB trip

I didn't draw much during the trip bec. I spent most of my time sleeping. During the trip, I bought a few markers and have been using them a lot.
The first picture is a sleepy puppy. He is a sleepy head just like me!

Here is one of our ASB trip co-leaders. She is super sweet. I drew this while we were visiting Inveneo, a non-profit organization in San Francisco. Inveneo neighborhood is not very welcoming. I would not fancy walking there alone at night. They did quite a few cool stuffs still I do not like their approach that much. Anyway, it might be because of the presentation + personal belief that cannot represents the organization well enough.

Here are (supposed to be) another two friends during the trip. We went to have lunch near the city hall where there was a farmer market. There was also grassfield along the path. We were laying down after finishing our lunch. The girls made bracelets and crowns from flowers. Surprisingly enough, some boys in our trip can do it too. ("How did you know girls' secrets!?!")

Anyway, that's it for this week. School just started. ASB is a good experience. I am really glad that I joined the trip and would recommend any of my juniors at Stanford to participate too. :D
